TEHRAN-The comedy play “A Farewell Dinner” written by Alexandre de la Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte and directed by Shima Khaseb is now being performed at Malek Theater in Tehran.

Khaseb, who staged the play last year, has brought it on stage again with the same cast including Amir Ghaffarmanesh, Javaneh Delshad and Amir Karbalaeezadeh, as it was welcomed by the audience, Mehr reported on Saturday.

In the play, Pierre and Clotilde, faced with the umpteenth dinner that they would really rather not go to, make a decision: they are going to have a spring cleaning of all their old friendships. They organize farewell dinners to pay homage to and set free the friends they are soon to say goodbye to forever. Their first victim: Antoine Royer. But between a cowardly and indecisive Pierre, an unpredictable Clotilde, and their overly curious friend, nothing goes according to plan.

The original script has been a sell-out success since it opened at the Théâtre Édouard VII in September 2014.

The play will remain on stage at Malek Theater, located at Malek St., Shariati St. through November 21.
